I am sure that many of you have heard it before that reading one chapter in Proverbs a day is great for a portion of your devotions. I have heard it my entire life but I have never done it before. That all changed this year!
My accountability partner and I made an agreement to read through the book of Psalm & Proverbs over the entire year. It will allow us to ready through Psalm about 2 1/2 times and then through the book of Proverbs 12 times.
Proverbs is an incredible wealth of knowledge! Verse seven in chapter one, to me, sums up the entire book:
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
I challenge you to make it a habit to read through Proverbs and asks God to increase your wisdom and knowledge. The more knowledge we obtain, the more we will fear the Lord!
