Music means so much to me. I work with music. I blog about music. I even do contests with music. Just in case you were wondering – I enjoy music!

One blog post that I did a few months ago was entitled “Just As I AM“. This song has meant so much to me over the past few months. The more and more I get into God’s Word and learn about HIM, the more I understand, and see, just how sinful I really am. In fact, the Bible clearly states that in Isaiah 64:6:

We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

One of the best things about this song is the fact that the words are so true: “Just as I am…I come!” God wants us to come to Him the way we are. We don’t have to be perfect. He is the One who wants to change us, mold us, make us and fill us. This is something that we can not do ourselves.

Over the past few months as I have been singing this song, I have come to a conclusion: We can come to God just like we are and He will take us in. We can come to Him wanting to be mended, healed, rescued, filled, and even pardoned, which He will… BUT!

hammer-and-chiselThat’s right, there is a but! Are we willing to let God have full control and mold us into who he want us to be? When we come to God just as we are, He wants to melt, mold, fill and use us to our full potential. Most of the time, this is a very painful process and where a lot of people quit.

In the video below, the Skit Guys are performing a skit called “God’s Chisel” and in the skit this line is said,

“When you look in the mirror who do you see?

“I see me!”

“Then I need to continue chiseling away because ultimately you and other people need to see my Son”

It is a painful process! A process that is long and hard but worth it in the end. God calls us HIS masterpiece. Are you willing to be molded and chiseled by God?

    1. Thanks Kyle! Those guys are incredible at what they do and God has used them in ways that I am sure they will never know.

Praying for you as your transition these next few weeks!
