While I’m Waiting

A few years back (2008 to be exact) my Pastor preached a series on Job entitled “When God Is Silent”. He talked about the character of Job and how in the mist of everything that he was going through, God seemed to be quiet. Sound familiar?

When we look at the life of Job, we see a man who was dedicated to God – through the good and the bad. His situation did not determine his attitude, God did!

As we were preparing for this series, I came across a song entitled “While I’m Waiting” by John Waller. This song was featured in the movie “Fireproof”. While the music is incredible, it is the lyrics that make the song. The first verse says,

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience

If you are in a period of your life that you feel like God is silent, please, let me encourage you to simple trust HIM. Through the good and the bad – trust HIM. When all seems lost – TRUST HIM!

Five years ago today, I made and uploaded the video below. As of the time I am writing this post, there have been 1,895,346 views and I hope and pray many people have been encouraged by the video.

Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
